I am a total bookworm loving to curl up in a cosy chair with a good book and get lost in a story. Well Neil Hannam’s debut novel Aubrey did not disappoint! This atmospheric thriller centres around a relentless hunt for a dangerous fugitive, a complex character driven by darkness and purpose and a Doctor who leads a tireless pursuit for a life-saving breakthrough. Like threads in a grand unseen design the lives of these two seemingly unconnected characters intertwine binding their fates. Hannam interlaces a web of diverse characters against a range of vivid backdrops and through evocative description makes every movement feel palpable & alive. So if you enjoy a thriller that pulls you deep into its mystery and stays with you long after the final page, this is a must read.

What a great a sequel - The Reckoning starts where Aubrey finished as all hell breaks loose in Nukeville Island. Introducing knew characters, revealing more of the plot and fast pace action, blood and gore - wowsers what a great read!!!

I came across Nukeville through a Pinterest pin, and let me just say I'm so glad I clicked on it! From the first page, I was hooked. The escape of a ruthless criminal from a maximum-security prison sets off a heart- pounding chain of events, and the manhunt that follows is nothing short of relentless. The atmosphere of tension and dread builds beautifully, and the city of London feels like it's on the brink of collapse as this unstoppable force of destruction leaves chaos in his wake.

What really sets this book apart, though, is the connection between the fugitive's path of violence and Dr. Bill Bonny's race against time to find a cure for cancer. The way these two storylines weave together, culminating in a terrifying truth that could change the world, kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
